Keep on jamming! Musicians will continue to improve their skills, fine-tune their skills, and gear up for the Friday performance.

FRIDAY

Regular rehearsal before the performance at 3:00 PM! Bands will perform outside VolumeRoom for friends and family and showcase their hard work.

BAND B: 11:45 AM – 1:45 PM

Cost

$400 per musician per 2 week session

What is the age range?

We are accepting musicians from 12-years-old to 17-years-old.

Do teens have to know how to play an instrument?

It helps if musicians have some experience with a particular instrument, though this is a great opportunity for beginners to level-up their game with this 2-week intensive session. Advanced musicians will benefit from learning how to play with a group.

What kinds of instruments and musicians are you looking for?

We are open to all kinds of instruments and musicians! Our instructor has the most experience teaching guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keyboards–however, if a musician has experience with a different instrument (be it horns, woodwind, strings, accordion, etc.) and is passionate about playing with a group, then we will work with them!

Do musicians need to have their own instruments?

We have three guitars, two basses, a full drum set, vocal microphones and a full keyboard available at VolumeRoom for students to use during sessions and performances. All other instruments must be provided by musicians.

Do musicians have to perform at the end of the session?

It is highly encouraged that musicians perform with their band at the end of the session–they worked so hard! However, if it’s a deal-breaker, and a musician doesn’t want to perform, then they can abstain. They will still learn how to play with a band, but they may have to observe on occasion as the band works to hone their sound for the performance.

What if the musician can’t make it to all rehearsals?

Since this is a highly collaborative effort, we really want all musicians to be present at rehearsals. However, if a rehearsal must be missed for an emergency or prior engagement then we ask for as much advance notice as can be given. If a musician will miss more than 2 rehearsals, we encourage them to sign up for different session. If a musician misses more than 3 rehearsals without notice they will be dismissed from the band and no refund will be provided.

How do I sign up, what is the deposit and what is the refund policy?

To sign up, click the “Register for a Jam Session” button above, or contact Becky and Andrew at [email protected]. A deposit of $100 is required to hold your musician’s spot, and the remaining $300 will be due a week before their session begins. A full refund can be provided up to 7 days prior to the start of your session. We cannot provide refunds 6 days or less before the start of your session.
